Fantasy is an act that is done by almost everybody. However, "a fantasy" is hard to define. This is because fantasy is a private act, and even among researchers, there is no consensus of opinion about its meaning. Therefore, various theories about the concept of fantasy were organized, and previous studies were reviewed from the perspective of psychoanalysis and analytical psychology. Then, these studies were analyzed from the perspective of similarities and differences between these two psychological theories in relation to the concept of fantasy
